Neighbourhood Discovery Walks

Visiting Singapore? New to the Island? Or just want to dig deeper into the Little Red Dot?

Our small-group discovery walks take only 6-12 people, giving us the unique opportunity to go into the heart of Singapore’s diverse neighbourhoods. Limiting the participant numbers allows everyone to get a great look at the locations we visit and ask our guides as many questions as you like.

These are a terrific opportunity to really explore the hidden corners of our Little Red Dot

Colours of Chinatown Walk

This walk weaves in visits to the diverse houses of worship on South Bridge Road, one of Singapore’s “harmony” streets, and also home to goldsmiths, herbalists and more. We wind our way through the heart of Chinatown to see old shophouses, a former Cantonese opera theatre, a traditional wet market, and the famous Buddha Tooth temple.

Colonial Civic District Walk

Stroll with us through rich tapestry of landmarks of Civic District to talk about East India Company and its trading mission, Sir Stamford Raffles and his town planning, as evidenced by the delightfully restored colonial buildings.

Fort Canning Park Walk

Lush green Fort Canning is one of Singapore’s most historic places reflecting over 700 years of Singapore’s history. From the heyday of the Malay kings of “Temasek” until the British arrival in 1819, the hill is a legacy as a seat of power.

Fort Canning was instrumental in the island’s trading economy and its military strength, and was the backdrop for some of the most dramatic events in Singapore’s past. Now it’s an urban park—a veritable green island in the heart of the city.

Kampong Glam Heritage Walk

Explore the eclectic district of Kampong Glam, the heart of Singapore’s Muslim community, and one of our most authentic neighbourhoods where you can still see and feel 19th-century Singapore. This is where the Malay Royalty once resided among Javanese, Sumatrans and Arabs, as well as Chinese and Indian communities, all of whom left their mark in different and fascinating ways.

Discover Little India Walk

Explore the heart and soul of Singapore’s Indian community—Little India. The heritage district associated with vibrant colours, the fragrance of flowers and spices, and an eclectic mix of houses. But on this tour, you hear not just about its present-day vibrancy, but also its early days of cattle slaughtering, horse-racing, baby delivering, and more!
