If you are looking for lively beach party and cafe on the coast, Jul and Aug is the best time to visit and peak season as well.

June and September are slightly less busy while October to May the coast can be quite quiet but still good to visit if you wish to escape the crowd. During this period, note that many tourist atrractions do shut down for the winter especially coastal area. Enjoy the splashes of colours during the autumn months amidst the beautiful landscape in the Plitvice and Krka National park.

Zagreb, Plitvice, Zadar, Šibenik, Trogir, Split, Dubrovnik

Day 1: ZAGREB

Arrive in Zagreb. Transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight in Zagreb, hotel 4*.

Day 2: ZAGREB

After breakfast city tour of the capital of Croatia, featuring Upper Town and Down Town.

The Upper Town is Zagreb’s historical centre which comprises Church of St. Mark with the famed multi-colored roof, the Parliament building, the Stone Gate, Cathedral. Down Town is business and cultural center of Zagreb with its main square of ban Josip Jelacic, the Croatian National Theatre and University.

Afternoon day at leisure. Optional halfdaytrip to Zagorje area (castle of Trakošćan) with a wine tasting) or Čigoč-European village of the storks.

Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight in Zagreb, hotel 4*.

Day 3: ZAGREB - PLITVICE - ZADAR (300 km)

After breakfast head towards the Plitvice Lakes.

The Plitvice lakes complex was registered on the UNESCO’s List of World Natural Heritage in 1979. Thickly wooded mountains embrace sixteen smaller and larger crystal turquoise lakes, interconnected by foaming cascades and deep falls. Sightseeing of the National Park.

Afternoon departure for Zadar.Dinner and overnight in Zadar, hotel 4*.

Day 4: ZADAR - ŠIBENIK - TROGIR/SPLIT (150 km)

Continuing the journey to Šibenik, the oldest Croatian town on the Adriatic, boasting the famous cathedral of St James, the most significant architectonic monument of the Renaissance in Croatia.

Continuing the trip into the hinterland of Primošten, famous for its black wine Babic and olive oil.

Arrival to Primošten Burnji and visit to Jurlinovi dvori – the beautiful village farm preserved in its original appearance.

Lunch with typical local dishes.Dinner and overnight in Trogir/Split, hotel 4*.

Day 5: TROGIR - SPLIT (30 km)

Morning city tour of Split. Located in the centre of the Dalmatian coast and nestled between the mountains and the sea, Split is a picturesque ancient town built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian.

Visit the impressive emperor’s palace built in the 3rd century, Peristyle and the Cathedral.

The journey takes us to Trogir, a charming stone town under the protection of UNESCO, which takes pride in the fascinating Romanesque cathedral, churches and beautiful palaces. After the short sightseeing of this Dalmatian pearl we return to Split.

Rest of the day is free for shopping or coffee at one of many Split’s cafés.Dinner and overnight in Trogir or Split, hotel 4*.

Day 6: SPLIT - DUBROVNIK (225 km)

After breakfast, we continue our drive along the Adriatic coast towards Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful stone cities in the world.

Discover Ston with its 5-kilometre long walls, a city built in the 15th century according to a plan with a rectangular scheme of streets and squares. Ston is renowned for its delicious oysters and mussels that you will taste in one of the local restaurants. Another landmark of Ston is its old salt ponds where the salt is still produced today in the old way.

We continue to Dubrovnik. This city-monument has been registered on UNESCO’s List of World Cultural Heritage.Dinner and overnight in Dubrovnik, hotel 4*.

Day 7: DUBROVNIK

Morning city tour of the old town. The walls of Dubrovnik girdle a perfectly preserved complex of public and private, sacral and secular buildings representing all periods of the city’s history, beginning with its founding in the 7th century. Particular mention should be made of the city’s main street, Stradun, the Rector’s Palace, the church of St. Vlaho, the Cathedral, three large monasteries, and the City Hall. The Republic of Dubrovnik was the centre of a separate political and territorial entity, and was proud of its culture, its achievements in commerce and especially of its freedom, preserved down so many tempestuous centuries.
